This is a welcome return by Jim (Senior Lecturer in Archaeology) and Elaine (Associate Lecturer in Landscape Archaeology) who have for the last few years hosted ERAS visits to their dig. Results are proving to be ever more interesting with evidence of activity around the famous castle site extending backwards into prehistory with important new insights into the early medieval period.
