Our next lecture is on Wednesday 20 March, Life, Death and Rubbish Disposal in Roman Norton – Excavations by JB Archaeology, 2015-16 kindly delivered by Dr Peter Wilson FSA.
Dr Pete Wilson FSA worked for English Heritage/Historic England for many years, including as Head of Research Policy (Roman Archaeology), and now runs an Independent Consultancy, Rarey Archaeology. A graduate of Birmingham University, he obtained a PhD from the University of Bradford for a thesis on Roman North Yorkshire. He was Secretary of the Royal Archaeological Institute and is Chair of the Roman Antiquities Section of the Yorkshire Archaeological and Historical Society. Pete will be talking about the excavations by JB Archaeology at Brooklyn House during 2015-16.
The lecture will begin at 7.30 in Lecture Room 1 in the Wilberforce Building at the University of Hull. Free to ERAS members and £2 for visitors.
