There are still a couple of complimentary places available on the Elmswell Farm dig run by DigVentures 14 to 17 August. For more details or to book a place please contact Angela at [email protected] or comment below before Thursday 26 July. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We are also hoping to conduct a resistivity survey in front of the manor house in an attempt to secure the location of the former tithe barn. This will take place on 18 and 19 August. Any members wanting to come and lend us a hand - or just come and learn some new skills - are more than welcome to come along

HULL OLD TOWN PUB TOUR
Join us on Wednesday 1 August on a tour of Hull's Old Town Pubs by renowned tour guide Paul Schofield - taking in the architecture and history as we go. His tour of the Old Town last year was very entertaining, educational and well received by all. Cost is £4 per person payable on the night. We will be meeting at the Minerva at 7 pm with a view to setting off about 7.30 pm. Finish time approximately 9 to 9.30. We will probably elect somewhere to have a drink afterwards too! Please let me know if you are attending so that I can inform Paul of probable numbers. Field Studies in Beverley will not be taking place in it's usual format but will return as normal in September. Val Fairhurst has kindly organised our Summer Residential trip to South Wales. Bookings and deposits need to be made before the end of January so no time for procrastination! Our ERAS trips are always friendly, well-organised and jam-packed with options for sight-seeing experiences.
